‘He’s out of his mind’: AOC is afraid Trump will put her in jail if he wins the presidency, calls government a ‘business’

Squad member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez worries that former President Donald Trump could land her in prison if he wins the November presidential election. New York Post.

She recently spoke with Kara Swisher on her show.Enter Kara SwisherThe episode was released on Thursday, and the interview covered several topics, including AI, Gaza and the upcoming presidential election.

“I feel like what we saw in his first presidency was a whitewash of his intentions.”

“As crazy as it sounds, I wouldn’t be surprised if this guy sent me to jail,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “He’s lost his mind. His whole first campaign was, ‘Send her to jail.’ That’s been his motto.”

While describing government as a “business,” Ocasio-Cortez continued, “When Trump says he’s going to arrest people, I take him at his word. When he threatens journalists, I take him at his word. I take him at his word.”

“I think what we saw during his first presidency was a bonus to his intentions. He learned from his mistake of appointing experts and won’t make the same mistake next time.”

But her comments seem to contradict recent comments made by Trump during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, in which he was asked about critics who suggested he would retaliate if he were to return to the presidency.

“Number one, they’re wrong,” the former president said. “It has to stop or we won’t have a country. Once this election is over, I’ll be well within my rights to go after them based on what they’ve done. It’s simple, because we see Joe Biden, we see all of the criminal activity, we see his family and all of the money flowing to him, all of this money from China, Russia, Ukraine.”

When asked if she thought there was a real chance that Trump could win the election, Ocasio-Cortez said, “Absolutely not.” [has] A chance to win.”

“That’s why I was an early and vocal supporter of Biden,” she continued. “A victory for Donald Trump would clearly create the potential for the unravelling of democracy in the United States of America, and the question of what would happen to me or the Democratic Party is a joke compared to the question of what would happen to our country.”

Ocasio-Cortez repeated an old line that a Trump election would “destroy democracy,” but said she also understood Biden’s lack of support among younger voters.

“When it comes to the presidential election, I understand the weak support for President Biden, especially among young people. I think the demoralization surrounding the president can also cause people to turn away from lesser candidates who are more in line with their interests. So the answer here is not to get out of the game, but to get in the game,” she said.
