Hezbollah fires rockets into Israel after IDF hits Hezbollah command centers

Hezbollah on Sunday barraged Israel with missiles and other projectiles in response to a deadly Israeli Defense Force attack on the militant group's headquarters in Beirut.

The Israeli military said Hezbollah fired about 250 rockets and other projectiles on Sunday, some of which were intercepted, in one of the heaviest barrages by the insurgents in months. Some of the rockets reached the Tel Aviv area in central Israel.

Meanwhile, in the southwest, the Lebanese army announced that one Lebanese soldier was killed and 18 others injured in an Israeli attack on a military center. The Israeli military said the attack took place in a war zone with Hezbollah and that military operations were directed only at the militants.

Israeli airstrikes also hit central Beirut on Saturday, killing at least 29 people and injuring 67 others, Lebanon's Health Ministry said.
