Hidden recordings reveal Planned Parenthood speeding up hormone treatment for teenagers.

An undercover call released by a pro-life group reveals that several states’ clinics are providing hormone treatments to minors as young as 16, often with minimal parental or medical oversight. This has led the group to urge Congress to refund planned custody for what they claim is misuse of taxpayer money.

The investigation, conducted by a woman posing as a 16-year-old seeking “gender-affirming care,” found that multiple facilities were willing to prescribe cross-sex hormones during initial appointments. At least seven clinics indicated this approach. Some facilities even assured her she could select a provider and gain access to treatments, despite her being new to considering a transition. Clinics in Minnesota and Oregon mentioned they could see minors for appointments right away.

Five of these facilities stated that no previous treatments, mental health evaluations, or prior documentation were needed to obtain the hormones.

Pediatricians have voiced concerns over “gender-affirming” treatments, emphasizing potential “irreversible consequences” for young people.

Planned Parenthood, known for providing abortions, also plays a significant role in distributing these hormone treatments. Cross-sex hormone therapy, which includes testosterone or estrogen, aims to alter an individual’s body to align with their gender identity. However, such treatments can lead to serious and permanent side effects, including infertility.

Lila Rose, president of Live Action, commented on the investigation, highlighting the concerning reality that vulnerable youth can access irreversible treatments at a rapid pace. She referred to these hormone therapies as dangerous, suggesting they can cause significant harm, and categorized them as a form of child abuse that must be addressed.

Currently, Planned Parenthood is also under investigation by the Department of Justice concerning the sale of fetal tissue.

Live Action continues to press Congress to terminate the federal funding allocated to Planned Parenthood, which totals over $700 million annually, labeling this financial support as a disaster that needs to end. Plans are reportedly in the works among House Republicans to cease such funding, coinciding with discussions about substantial spending cuts to support tax reforms proposed by former President Trump.

Following these developments, House Speaker Mike Johnson has pointed out that Republicans are aiming their budgetary focus on cutting funds related to abortion services.

Planned Parenthood has not yet responded to inquiries regarding these claims.
