Threats Against Trump from Iranian Official
A senior Iranian figure has made a startling suggestion regarding President Donald Trump, hinting at the possibility of a drone strike while he is at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. This comment comes amid ongoing strife between Israel and Iran.
On Wednesday, Mohammad Javad Larijani, who serves as a senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and is related to two prominent Iranian politicians, made remarks implying that “a small drone might be employed” against Trump.
“Trump is now in a position where he can’t sunbathe in Mar-a-Lago,” Larijani stated. “A little drone could easily target him while he’s relaxed in the sun,” he elaborated, seemingly downplaying the seriousness of the situation.
His statements were in reaction to the claims from a fundraising platform named Blood Agreement, which advocates for “retaliation against those who threaten our beliefs.” The platform aims to collect funds to pursue those who challenge the leadership of Khamenei. They assert they have already raised over $40 million with hopes of reaching $100 million to finance an assassination plot targeting Trump.
Since 2020, Trump has faced multiple assassination threats, particularly following his order for the killing of Iranian military leader Qassem Soleimani. Just last year, U.S. authorities alleged that Iranian forces attempted to execute a plan against him. In November 2024, the Justice Department filed a federal complaint after obstructing Iran’s alleged scheme to assassinate Trump before the presidential elections.
Furthermore, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian previously told Tucker Carlson that this so-called “war fatwa” was not a government-endorsed directive. Nonetheless, a newspaper linked to Khamenei rejected Pezeshkian’s assertion, insisting on the sincerity of their religious justifications.
“This isn’t just an opinion,” the editorial noted. “It’s a definitive religious ruling meant to safeguard our faith and protect our scholars.”
The publication indicated that future aggressors would face repercussions, warning that “the Islamic Republic will take action against those who threaten Israel.”
