The young California baseball player had someone special on his mind Saturday as he hit an unforgettable hit.
The crowd went wild when Hank Tripaldi hit a grand slam in the top of the seventh at the Northern California Division I Championship, Fox News report Sunday.
Video footage shows the incredible moment the base emptied loaded Tripaldi then threw the ball out of the park and celebrated with his Spartan teammates.
But the playoff match against Valley Christian now holds a special high school memory, as he dedicated the Grand Slam to his mother, Robin, who died of breast cancer on April 25.
“I love her. I miss her. I did it for her,” explained the young athlete.
