Former Teen Actor Arrested
Matt Prokop, known for his role in “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” has reportedly been arrested and is currently held without bail on several charges, including child pornography possession.
The 35-year-old actor was taken into custody in Victoria County, Texas, on December 24, 2025, according to local reports.
He remains in jail facing additional charges for resisting arrest and two counts related to resisting search or transportation.
Prokop’s arrest is linked to a violation of bail conditions from a previous arrest in May 2024, where he faced charges of aggravated assault and resisting arrest, as reported by local media.
It remains unclear when he will have his court appearance.
Prokop has not responded to inquiries seeking comment on the situation.
This incident follows serious allegations from his ex-girlfriend, Sarah Hyland, a star from “Modern Family.” She claimed during their five-year relationship that he was verbally and physically abusive.
In May 2014, she stated in court filings that he had physically assaulted her during an argument. After their breakup, she reportedly feared for her safety, claiming he threatened to harm her dog and set fire to her home.
Following these incidents, Hyland obtained a restraining order against Prokop, prohibiting him from contacting her for three years.
Alongside “High School Musical 3,” Prokop has appeared in a handful of other projects, including “Furry Vengeance” and “Struck by Lightning.”
