With about four weeks left until the presidential election, various people are predictably developing “October surprise” scenarios. The most prominent such person is Hillary Clinton.
This comes as no surprise to many who believe she was behind the “Russia collusion” surprise pulled on Donald Trump in the summer of 2016. The “surprise” was a known and proven hoax designed to destroy the Trump campaign. I recommend reading this article for anyone who may have forgotten that awful episode, or is trying to pretend it never happened. durham reportreleased in May 2023.
During an interview with PBS's “Firing Lines” host Margaret Hoover, the former first lady and secretary of state spoke about the upcoming “October Surprise” and said, “There is a concerted effort to distort and pervert Kamala Harris. “It will be done,” he speculated. Clinton surely knows that tens of millions of American voters, including grizzled political pundits on both sides of the aisle, find it laugh-out-loud ridiculous. . Harris “distorts” and “distorts” what he “represents.” are you kidding me
Ms. Harris, the shadow puppet masters behind her, and much of the media are working 24/7 to ensure that voters never know who her “supporters” are. There is political arrogance, and there is a complete and deliberate disregard for voters.
More worryingly, Clinton also suggested that the media needs a “consistent narrative” about the “danger” that President Trump poses to the country in the coming weeks. Perhaps Clinton is stalling or not paying attention to current events. Mainstream media coverage of Trump has been relentlessly negative since 2015 and has never stopped promoting its “consistent narrative.”
Clinton also warned that countries such as Russia, Iran and China could try to influence the election by stirring up disinformation on social media. Wow, let's go back to her disgrace and debunked 2016 strategy.
Despite (and in many cases because of) Clinton's personal and partisan historicism, tens of millions of Americans cracked the code. They realize they are being toyed with by her, Harris, the media, and the stereotyped liberal elite. More than that, despite any “double standards,” Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), do not take voters' basic information needs for granted. They are deeply troubled by the fact that they hide from the media while thinking this.
We can also assume that these voters don't like that Trump has been subjected to a massive smear and legal campaign designed to oust him. Similarly, he did not like the Democratic Party's smear campaign and voter suppression efforts against former Democratic Party independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He is now, not entirely coincidentally, part of Team Trump.
With tens of millions of voters participating in the voting, the “October surprise” of this election means that “surprises” do not matter. These voters will not be swayed one way or the other by “scandal” news leaked in the middle of the night by faceless operatives.
These voters are trying to cause a “November surprise.” They can't wait to prove the election polls wrong again. They can't wait to join the undercounted or purposefully ignored Trump vote. They can't wait to bring their family and friends to the polls. They can't wait to tell exit pollsters that life was much better four years ago under Trump.
They can't wait to celebrate on the evening of November 5th, knowing that on January 20th their future and that of their children will start to improve again. Whether the upcoming “October Surprise” is real or imagined, it will happen. “November Surprise” won it. That's not surprising at all.
