Hillary Clinton Says She Was Unaware of Jeffrey Epstein's Misdeeds

Hillary Clinton Denies Knowledge of Epstein’s Crimes

Former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton testified before the House Oversight Committee on Thursday, asserting she had no awareness of Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal activities.

In a statement shared later on X, Clinton emphasized, “I had no knowledge of their criminal activities. I have no recollection of meeting Mr. Epstein, never boarded his plane, never visited his island home or office.”

She reiterated her points to reporters afterwards, stating, “I have never met Jeffrey Epstein,” and mentioned that she “knew Ghislaine Maxwell casually as an acquaintance.” Clinton also expressed her frustration, saying, “I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to say I don’t know Jeffrey Epstein.”

Reports previously indicated that Maxwell had attended Chelsea Clinton’s wedding and participated in the Clinton Global Initiative, an important initiative of President Bill Clinton after his presidency.

Bill Clinton has also distanced himself from Maxwell and Epstein, although Maxwell claimed in a Justice Department interview last year that he played a significant role in the establishment of the Clinton Global Initiative, noting Epstein’s involvement as well.

The documents related to Epstein suggest Maxwell was key to supporting the initiative’s creation, participating in budget discussions and collaborating with Clinton aides.

Additionally, according to reports, the couple regularly visited Epstein’s estate in New Mexico after leaving the White House, with claims from a contractor that the Clintons, along with their daughter Chelsea, were frequent guests.

They often stayed at a cowboy-themed village on the property, rather than in the main house, which is said to be close to Epstein’s luxurious home on the mountain.

Recently, the Department of Justice disclosed an email indicating Epstein helped arrange a meeting between Clinton and former French President Nicolas Sarkozy in 2013.

Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer described Hillary’s testimony as “productive,” and mentioned that she seemed to learn a lot. However, when questions arose regarding the Clinton Global Initiative, she deflected by saying, “Ask your husband.”

During her testimony, Clinton accused the committee of conducting a partisan “fishing expedition.” She remarked, “You coerced me into testifying to divert attention from the President, knowing full well that I had no knowledge to assist your investigation.”

She argued that if the committee was genuinely invested in uncovering the truth about Epstein’s crimes, it wouldn’t simply rely on media reports to investigate the current president’s connection, but would pose questions under oath regarding Epstein’s files.

It’s worth noting that President Trump has denied any wrongdoing related to Jeffrey Epstein.
