Hillary Clinton Slams Trump Administration for Getting ‘Chummy with Tyrants’

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke in Berlin, Germany, saying, “The dictatorship is on the march, and we’ve thrown a lot with the dictators.”

“We now have a government in the United States where governments are thrown together with dictators, which we chose to support those who support war rather than peace,” she added.

Clinton’s remarks seem to refer to the alliance between President Trump and tech moguls like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, who attended his inauguration.

Musk has become a Democrat “bogeyman,” critics say, citing government cutbacks and the suspension of agencies like the US International Development Agency, which have been forced to rehire thousands of fired employees.

Clinton’s comments were made as Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a call, with Trump praising US-Russia economic cooperation and Putin agreeing to a limited ceasefire in the Ukrainian war over energy infrastructure.

Trump critics worry he may concede to some of Russia’s demands, including giving up Ukraine’s territory, in a peace deal.

Clinton, who lost the 2016 election to Trump, has been a frequent target for Republican leaders since then.
