Clinton’s Take on Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize Potential
Hillary Clinton, a two-time presidential candidate, has expressed her belief that President Donald Trump could secure the Nobel Peace Prize if he manages to bring an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine. She even suggested that he might endorse a strategy reminiscent of how he has aligned with Vladimir Putin.
“He wants to win the Nobel Peace Prize,” Clinton remarked during a discussion with Jessica Tallov, featured in the podcast The Raging Moderates.
Clinton elaborated that if Trump could halt the conflict without forcing Ukraine to recognize Russian claims, she would consider nominating him for the award. “Honestly, if he could finish this awful war without compromising Ukraine’s stance against the invaders, that would be a significant stand against Putin—something we haven’t really witnessed before. This could be a unique opportunity,” she reflected. “If Trump was the one who achieved this, I would absolutely nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize.”
She added, “My aim here isn’t to give in to Putin.”
Her comments come as Trump is preparing for a meeting in Alaska with Putin. Last week, Trump announced that the highly anticipated encounter would occur on August 15, 2025, in Greater Alaska.
He suggested that he would quickly gauge whether the meeting would be beneficial or not. Reports indicate that both Russia and Ukraine express a desire to end hostilities, yet their terms seem fundamentally at odds.
As negotiations commence, Ukraine insists a ceasefire must occur first, while Russia views the ceasefire as an afterthought, content to continue both discussions and fighting. This has led many, including European leaders and President Zelensky, to accuse Russia of engaging in what they see as insincere diplomacy.
Trump stated, “I’m not in this for my health. I don’t need it. I want to prioritize our nation, but I’m doing this to save many lives.”
Before the pivotal meeting, evangelist Franklin Graham encouraged Americans to pray for Trump during the discussions. “Today is that day. As President Trump meets with Putin in Anchorage, pray for our President,” he urged, emphasizing the need for divine wisdom for both leaders in their efforts for peace, which he believes would benefit not just Russia and Ukraine but the entire world.
