Hillary Clinton continues her honorable fight against free speech and, of course, former President Donald Trump.
The twice-unsuccessful presidential candidate is now seeking criminal charges for statements he deems “misinformation.”
“I think there are some Americans who engage in this kind of propaganda, and a better deterrent would be to sue them civilly or even criminally,” Clinton said in a recent appearance on MSNBC. Deaf,” he said.
Liz Wheeler of “The Liz Wheeler Show” is scared, and rightly so.
“Let's be clear: It's your First Amendment right to say whatever you want. You can say something smart, you can say something stupid, you can say something offensive. “You can try to convince people that the Earth is flat, that birds aren't real, that the moon landing was fake,” Wheeler says.
But Wheeler points out that by following Clinton's own standards, she would be in similar trouble.
“Perhaps we should just accept Hillary's premise for a second, as long as the first one that applies is Hillary. Do we want to criminalize people who spread foreign propaganda? Okay, put them in federal prison. The first person in line to do so is Hillary Clinton herself,” Wheeler said.
“Who invented the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax? Hillary Clinton. Who invented the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax? Hillary Clinton. Who invented the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax? Who told foreign spy Christopher Steele that the infamous Steele lie was used to target Donald Trump? Did he ask them to write a document? Oh yeah, so did Hillary Clinton,” she continued, listing even more crimes by Clinton's own standards.
“If you want to entertain Hillary Clinton's claims for just a minute, if you want to criminalize Americans who collude with foreign powers and spread Russian propaganda, then Hillary Clinton should go to prison. ” she added.
