President Donald Trump's first American trade policy sparked the Canadian best friend of Hillary Clinton, who co-authored the book with the failed presidential candidate.
Louise Penny cowrote A state of fear Along with Clinton, he announced on Friday that he would boycott the US as “economic sword” Trump was swinging Canada around.
“I can't believe I'm saying this, but given the continued threat of an unprovoked trade war against Canada by the US President, I don't feel I can enter the US,” Penny announced on Facebook. post“It could throw hundreds of thousands of Canadians (and Americans) into poverty, at least up to its economic sword, but it was completely removed.”

Penny, who has publicly declared the economic benefits of Canadians and Canada's pride and solidarity, was scheduled for the release of her latest book in the US, which is more favorable, not in her home country.
She is one of many left-wing artists who have been canceling events at the John F. Kennedy Arts for Performing Arts Center in protest against Trump.

The author calls Trump's economic agenda “moral scars” and believes in other “unhappy” Trump's actions for her decision.
“Well. It hurts so much to announce that she couldn't visit because of Trump, Penny writes. “I visited friends and made friends personally and professionally. I have that kind of respect, affection for them. For you. But… enough. What's going on is not a potential economic catastrophe for Canada and many other countries, but a moral scar.”
“I will not be able to hold in-person events in the US until things change,” she continues, “understanding that this decision is not intended to punish Americans. This is to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with my fellow Canadians.”
