‘History of anger problems’: Jill Biden mocked for hyping president as ‘calm’ and ‘steady’

First Lady Jill Biden was heavily criticized on social media on Wednesday after she said in an interview that President Biden is “calm” and “stable” compared to former President Trump, who she described as the epitome of “chaos.”

“We have a choice. That’s what I want to say. We have a choice: We have a choice between a husband who is calm, stable, strong, has character and integrity, or we have the other option, which is chaos,” Biden said on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday. “We have to decide: Democracy or chaos.”

The remarks drew immediate criticism on social media from conservatives who were skeptical of Biden being portrayed as “calm” and “steady.”

“This time it’s not going to work. Is there anything that will calm us down?” conservative commentator Stephen L. Miller Posted in X.

Biden has often been criticized in recent years for losing his cool, appearing to have called an Iowa man “fat” and a “liar” in 2019. He later denied calling him fat and insisted he was just stating “facts”.

Since taking office, there have been multiple reports that he has been prone to angry outbursts at staff and others when he’s not in public, with reports last year detailing him calling former President Trump a “son of a bitch” and a “sick son of a bitch.”

Axios report Biden has been so irate that aides have avoided meeting alone with him for fear of facing his wrath, he detailed. His admonitions reportedly include, “Oh, how don’t you know?”, “Don’t be stupid!” and “Get out of here!”

“No one is safe,” one government official told the media.

Biden’s tactic, which typically took the form of “angry questioning” until it was clear the other attendees didn’t know the answer to the question, has become so commonplace that staffers have reportedly dubbed it “stump the chump.”

In March, the White House disputed an NBC News report that Biden was growing anxious and angry about his reelection bid.

“There are reports that President Biden began yelling and swearing when he was told that his handling of Israel’s war with Hamas was starting to affect his approval ratings. So is he yelling and swearing about Netanyahu, or about Hamas, or about the approval ratings?” Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

“That’s a question of, ‘When did you stop hitting your spouse?’ because I don’t believe he ever did that,” Sullivan responded.

“Excuse me?” Doocy interjected, and Sullivan continued.

“Well, you’re using that as a premise for your question, which is when did he do that? I never saw him yell or swear at it, so in my opinion, that particular report is incorrect,” Sullivan said.

Biden’s anger was on full display in February when he reacted to the special counsel’s report on the mishandling of classified documents, calling some of the allegations “demonstrably false.”

“There’s even a mention that they don’t remember when their son died. Why on earth would they bring that up? To be honest, when they asked me that question I thought it was none of their business,” he said.

“I mean well, I’m an old man, I know what I’m doing,” he said.

He also balked at some questions from reporters: “My memory is bad, so I want to let you do the talking,” he yelled at Doocy.

Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
