President Trump's tariff war with his neighbors in New York, Cathy Hochulu, asserted on Sunday that it would hurt state companies and consumers.

“Canada and New York are really part of one region,” said Hochul in the MSNBC's “The Weekend” program.

The borders in New York are Montreal Quebec and Toronto Ontario. Peace Bridge ties Buffalo and Otario Fort Elley.

She said that because New York is a national economic engine, tariff war has a “ripple effect” nationwide.

Hochur hoped that Trump's tariff was a temporary act to cope with the Fentanyl crisis to take care of Canada and Mexico. She pointed out that she had more resources on the northern border to crack down on Fentanyl smuggling.

Trump has pulged 25 % of tariffs this weekend to all imports from Canada. He acknowledged that the collection could cause “pain” to Americans, but said, “Everything is worth it.”
