On November 8, 2025, the YouTube channel of Hololive ID Vtuber Ayunda Risu was hacked by an encrypted account, leading to its deletion shortly after on November 10, 2025. Cover is aware of this issue and is attempting to recover the channel, but there’s no word yet on when, or if, it might return.

Interestingly, soon after the hack, a video titled “Bitcoin Crash Explained! The Massive BTC Dump and What’s Next for Cryptocurrency” by Michael Saylor appeared in the live section of Risu’s channel. A screenshot capturing this moment was shared by Pixel_Pastiche on the official subreddit.

Cover reacted quickly, issuing an initial statement on Rhys’ website later that day.

Ayunda Risu later addressed the cryptocurrency hacking issue during Nat Coin’s “Conference” stream, where she used a similar teaser image to the one from Saylor’s video. Remarkably, she managed to keep that stream up and went on to do a Monday morning session about Malas, but eventually confirmed that her channel had been deleted due to the incident.

Here’s her latest update.

This isn’t the first occurrence of a Hololive Vtuber channel being hacked for cryptocurrency purposes. For instance, EN member Ouro Kronii also fell victim in January 2025. Like Risu, she made light of her situation when her channel was restored with a $KRONII joke.

For now, Ayunda Risu’s YouTube channel will remain unavailable, with updates expected in the coming days. She has been part of the company since April 2020.
