Homan estimates $86+ billion deportation tab — still cheaper than endless taxpayer aid for illegal aliens

President-elect Donald Trump's next border czar, Tom Homan, said Wednesday that he believes his administration's mass deportation efforts will cost at least $86 billion.

Mr Homan admitted it was “expensive” but argued it would save taxpayers money in the long run. He vowed to deploy a “targeted enforcement operation.”

“ICE offices across the country will be on the streets.”

Monaka interview In a conversation with CNN's Caitlan Collins on Wednesday, Homan clarified that he is unsure of the ultimate cost of deportation.

“We're working on a plan,” he told Collins. “It depends on how many resources I have and how much it costs. But I will say this: $86 billion. That's the amount of young women murdered and raped in this country. 'What price would you put on the lives of all these little girls you know? At what cost to national security? ”

Homan added, “This is going to be an expensive operation, but in the long run it will result in huge tax savings for Americans, because they now have free flights, free hotels.'' room, we're not talking about our education system or trauma. [centers] And the hospital. And it will last forever. ”

Homan explained that the vast majority of foreign nationals who enter the United States to apply for asylum are later determined to be ineligible.

“Nearly nine out of 10 people who claim asylum will receive a deportation order,” he said.

The future border czar also told Collins that Immigration and Customs Enforcement would need at least 100,000 detention beds.

Tuesday's report from fox news digital The Trump administration has announced that it is considering investing in more wrist and ankle GPS monitors for illegal aliens who are not in federal custody.

Homan vowed that from the first day of Trump's presidency, “ICE offices across the country will be in the streets.”

The administration's top priority is to remove undocumented immigrants who have committed violent crimes or who are identified as gang members. Homan explained that sanctuary policies hinder these efforts.

“In sanctuary cities, we can't arrest criminals in prison because they don't let us in. So we're forced to go into the neighborhoods. Instead of arresting them, we should send the entire team to the neighborhood.”

During such operations, Homan said ICE officers are likely to discover other low-priority illegal aliens.

“But guess what? Immigration officials won't be told by illegal aliens to leave like the Biden administration did, so they'll be arrested too,” he added.

Maria Bartiromo during an interview on FOX News Sunday noticed Trump's incoming deputy chief of staff for policy, Stephen Miller, said he estimated the deportation plan would cost between $80 billion and $100 billion.

Mr. Homan told Mr. Bartiromo that he needed at least $86 billion, approved by Congress, to implement the plan.
