Homeless couple filmed having sex in parking lot under NYC’s FDR Drive: ‘A new low for the city’

These slackers were in no hurry.

A parking lot under FDR Drive, just steps from the East River Greenway where kids walk to school and locals train for marathons, has become a hotbed of homeless sex acts, according to disturbing X-rated footage obtained by The Washington Post.

On Aug. 22, between the late afternoon rush hour and sunset, three videos show a bearded man repeatedly and violently thrusting into the woman as she lay pantsless on a gray mattress next to a bicycle and a parked trailer.

“The couple having sex on the sidewalk was a low point for me in this city,” the stunned 34-year-old local who filmed the exchange told The Washington Post, adding that the shocking scene, combined with a stabbing that took place on East 14th Street near Avenue A in July, has him considering moving to the Upper West Side.

“Peter Cooper, you live in a really beautiful community called Stuytown, but the suburbs are a Third World country,” he said.

“I can't tell you how many times I've seen people pooping on the sidewalk or screaming for help on the sidewalk.”

During a recent visit by The Post, a homeless couple was seen lounging near their tent, smoking cigarettes, while vagrants violently tossed aerosol cans and neck pillows among their soiled belongings.

Local residents lament the daytime debauchery as a sign of the neighborhood's decline, especially given the neighborhood's proximity to a waterfront promenade frequented by cyclists, joggers and families out walking.

“New York is getting worse with homelessness. [people] “They're having sex in public,” said dog walker Tiffany Opio, 30, who described recently seeing a homeless man receiving oral sex from a woman near East 14th Street and Fifth Avenue.

“Having sex in public is dangerous. There's something wrong with you inside,” she added. “It's frightening.”

But some people were downplaying the outdoor adventure.

“People are more worried about homeless men having sex than they are worried about having something to eat,” said Rodrigo Camara, 23, a bank employee.

A homeless woman who claimed to have seen the couple in action winced as she recalled the sexual act.

“Some people have no class,” she fumed. “Just because they're homeless doesn't mean they have to behave like that.”

An NYPD spokesman said the department had not received any complaints about indecent exposure on August 22.
