Police in Washington state are investigating an incident involving an “improvised explosive device” found outside a marijuana store in Tacoma on Friday.
Video shared with Fox 13 by Tacoma police shows the suspect dropping a homemade device and throwing a Molotov cocktail at the store.
Craft Cannabis owner James Bean is asking for help identifying the person seen on camera during the March 15 incident.
“If that person had been successful, this story would have been completely different,” Bean told FOX 13.

Tacoma police are investigating after what appeared to be an “improvised explosive device” was found outside a craft cannabis store Friday.
Bean, who owns three other hot pot shops in Wenatchee and Vancouver, opened the Tacoma location two years ago, but told Fox 13 he noticed the store was being targeted in February. Ta.
Bean told Fox 13 it all started when a 35% off sign was stolen.
“It all started after the renovation and grand opening,” Bean said. “I started receiving threatening phone calls.”
But on Friday, all the thefts and threats took a serious turn when someone tried to set one of his buildings on fire.

“They rolled some kind of fire starter down the side of the building and threw Molotov cocktails at the building,” Bean told FOX13. “I’m glad I didn’t aim well.”
Tacoma Police Department responded and safely disposed of the device.
Unfortunately, Craft Cannabis suffered again on Sunday morning, with some of its signage partially destroyed by fire.
Police said an officer drove by the store around 6 a.m. Sunday to investigate reports of a fire.
Officials told Fox News Digital that two people fled the scene. The fire was quickly extinguished and no arrests were made and no one was injured.
Investigators are appealing to anyone with information about the attack to contact them.
Tacoma police told Fox News Digital they are continuing to investigate the incident, which is believed to be related to other incidents. A follow-up investigation will be conducted to determine the motive, police said.
Police added that the owners felt it was retaliation for offering products at a lower price than their competitors.
