A healthcare worker in Virginia has been terminated after making controversial remarks about the death of Charlie Kirk. This incident has reportedly led to a growing number of firings and suspensions among employees who made comments perceived as inciting violence against public figures.
As detailed in a correspondence from the hospital to Fox News Digital, the anesthesiologist employed at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital posted “very inappropriate comments in support of violence against public figures” on social media.
Riverside became aware of this post on Thursday morning, though the names of the individuals involved were not disclosed in the statement.
The employee, who was linked with a North American anesthesiology partner, had her contract terminated on the morning of September 11. Riverside Health stated that the person is no longer associated with their institution.
Following Kirk’s assassination, which occurred while he was conversing with a student at the University of Utah, there has been considerable backlash against a popular barbecue restaurant in Cincinnati due to comments made by one of its co-owners.
Aaron Sharpe, co-owner of Lucius Q, responded to a Facebook post offering prayers for two husbands and their father by making disparaging remarks. His comment, “Good Riddance,” followed by rude remarks, has since been circulated in online screenshots.
Consequently, several of Lucius Q’s business partners and vendors have chosen to sever ties with the restaurant. In a noteworthy development, Lucius Q eventually announced that they had parted ways with Sharpe.
