Fox News host Lisa Kennedy has criticized President Trump’s decision to accept a jet from Qatar.
“I’m not sure it’s wise to accept such gifts, especially since it could be seen as similar to past actions by Democrats and the Bidens, who have faced scrutiny for years,” Kennedy remarked during Wednesday’s “Five” segment.
In response, Trump defended his choice, claiming that only “silly” people would turn down the offer.
The announcement sparked frustration among Democrats and caught the attention of some Republican senators.
Kennedy, a prominent Fox host, described the situation as an unnecessary distraction, as discussed first by Mediate.
“We need to adhere to basic political principles: if it’s wrong for them, it’s wrong for us,” she added. “Why take the focus away from the significant victories we’ve seen in the past ten days?”
