The House of Representatives moved to advance the accusation of Rep. Al Green (D-TX) after his unruly action during President Donald Trump's speech before Tuesday's joint session of Congress.
On a 211-209 vote, the House voted to move forward with Green's censorship after escorting him for refusing to follow politeness during Trump's speech.
As Bradley Jaye of Breitbart News previously reported, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) suspended Trump's speech after Democrats began to show unruly behavior and warned them that they needed to “observe the politeness of their home.”
“Mr. President, members are instructed to maintain and maintain courtesy in the home and stop any further confusion,” Johnson said. “That's your warning.”
As Democrats continued to display their actions, Johnson warned them that the chairman was “ready to instruct the sergeant to restore order to the joint session.”
“Members are engaged in deliberate decoration violations and the chair is ready to instruct the sergeant to restore the order to the joint session,” Johnson said.
Johnson told Green to oversee “Sergeant as Sergeant restores order” and take a seat several times to remove the green from the chamber.
“Members have discovered that they continue to have a deliberate, coordinated disruption of proper polite decorations, and the chair is now instructing the sergeant to restore order,” Johnson said.
In the aftermath of the incident, Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA) introduced a resolution that denies Green more than he did. The resolution says:
Meanwhile, the actions of Texas representatives disrupt the minutes of the joint address and were a violation of proper conduct. Meanwhile, after a large number of confusion, representatives from Texas had to be removed from the Chamber of Commerce by a Sergeant. Therefore, representative Al Green is determined to be criticized.
That's what the Democrats did It has been reported H. res. 189, but refusing to the table was refused.
