Two Republican-led House committees have voted to move forward with a recommendation to charge Hunter Biden with contempt of Congress.

On Wednesday evening, a bicameral committee voted to approve a report recommending a contempt of Congress motion against Hunter for failing to comply with a subpoena.

The recommendation will now be sent to the House of Commons for a vote. However, no date has been set for the House vote at this time.

As the meeting was about to vote, Mr. Hunter appeared in the Oversight Committee room.

From her committee seat, Rep. Nancy Mace (RS.C.) told her eldest son that he was “the epitome of white privilege.”

“You ignored Congressional subpoenas for your removal, came to the Oversight Committee and spat in our faces. What are you afraid of? You don't have a ball.” Mace said.

Mace also referred to Hunter's appearance and sudden resignation on social media as a “stunt.”

“It's no secret that Hunter Biden uses his privilege to avoid any sense of responsibility. He showed up at People's Hall as a PR stunt,” Mace wrote. “It's horrifying that his colleagues across the aisle stand by as he spits in the faces of the American people.”

Hunter and his attorney were in the meeting for only 10 minutes before leaving the hearing room.

The investigation comes in the wake of allegations that President Joe Biden benefited financially from his son's foreign business dealings.
