The Democratic House Campaign Division announced it had raised $36.9 million in the first quarter of 2025.
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) brought in $16.6 million in March alone, marking the start of a competitive 2026 election cycle that appears to bring back control of the House, according to its release.
Throughout the aisle, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) gathered in March for $21.5 million, recording the best-off month of its first quarter strongest mark.
Republicans have 220 seats in 213 Democrats, with two vacant seats in the district previously held by Democrats, with fewer majority. As a party that lost last year’s presidential election, Democrats are heading into the midterm with historic advantages, but they face a tough battle to beat the GOP triple control against Washington.
The party primarily hopes that traditional middling repulsion and frustration with President Trump will increase them to the majority, but anger is bubbling from their reactions to the Democratic leader and the new administration.
“Donald Trump and House Republicans are marching towards a toxic recession, crashing the economy, slashing Medicaid, and marching us towards a harmful recession. It’s clear that Americans all over the country have enough GOP cruelty and extremism.
“It’s clear that thanks to the incredible support from across the nation this quarter, we have the momentum, message and resources to reclaim people’s homes to work to recapture the majority and improve the lives of everyday Americans,” House Democrats Campaign Chief Susan Delvene (D-Wash.) said.
The parties’ house campaign arms have recently set their sights on some red districts that Democrats easily won last fall this week.
This month’s election handicapper Sabato’s Crystal Ball predicted in its first interim analysis that Democrats are slightly preferred to win a majority, but face a competitive election map.
“The NRCC is under attack and is spurred by unstoppable momentum and widespread support. While Touchhouse Democrats are fighting, we are ready to continue to accuse us of unparalleled energy in 2026, increasing our home majority and delivering results to Americans.” release Earlier this week we announced the transportation of the GOP.
