Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) bragged online after Rep. Jamaal Bowman (R-NY) lost reelection.

Massie mocked Bowman, who lost to George Latimer on Tuesday night in the Democratic primary for New York’s 16th Congressional District.Number Congressional district.
In his post, Massey included a video of himself arguing with Bowman over gun control in 2023. The exchange came after a mass shooting at a Nashville Christian school left three children and three adults dead.
The debate came after lawmakers walked away from the House vote, with Bowman, a former middle school principal, telling reporters that his Republican colleagues were cowards for not trying to pass gun control legislation.
Massey, a member of the Second Amendment Caucus of Legislators, ran to face off against Bowman on the issue.
Bowman became a member of “The Squad,” a group of the House’s most progressive Democrats, after being elected to the House in 2020. Bowman’s loss made him the first incumbent House Democrat to lose a primary this election cycle.
The race against Latimer has divided Democrats and raised millions of dollars, making it one of the most expensive House primaries in history.
