Record Fundraising by NRCC in Q1 2026

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) reported an impressive $47.1 million in fundraising during the first quarter of 2026, outpacing Democratic Congressional Committees by almost $2 million as the midterm elections approach.

This financial surge was largely driven by the NRCC’s best-ever March, bringing in $28.1 million in contributions as the quarter wrapped up for House Republicans.

NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson, a Republican from North Carolina, expressed pride in this funding achievement, stating, “This historic funding quarter showcases the strong support behind our policies aimed at reducing costs and ensuring safety for Americans.”

He further emphasized that House Republicans are focused on maintaining their majority and countering the Democratic agenda with solid financial backing, saying, “We are united and ready to defend our position.”

For the fiscal year, the NRCC’s total fundraising stands at $164.4 million, with $78.2 million currently available just months ahead of the elections, as reported by the NRCC.

The NRCC has also noted that they have maintained higher approval ratings compared to Democrats for five consecutive quarters. This marks a notable moment, as it’s the first time in ten years that the NRCC has outperformed the House Democratic campaign arm during the initial phase of an election cycle.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) concluded the first quarter with $45.3 million in fundraising. They, too, experienced a significant quarter, recording their largest March to date, with $21.5 million raised.

The overall total for the DCCC in the 2026 cycle has reached $160.6 million, with $70 million in cash on hand.

DCCC Chairwoman Susan DelBene expressed confidence in her party’s direction, stating, “People are frustrated with the high cost of living and the unfulfilled promises from House Republicans. We are witnessing strong backing for House Democrats and their candidates nationwide.”

She added that support is surging under Hakeem Jeffries’ leadership, with Democrats focusing on issues like lower costs, accessible healthcare, and reducing corruption. “We possess the momentum, message, and resources needed to reclaim the majority in November,” she concluded.
