The House of Representatives voted Wednesday to introduce the resolution, allowing House Speaker Johnson (R-Louisiana) to continue serving.

The final vote to deny the motion was 359-43.

196 Republicans voted to introduce the motion, and 11 voted to pass it. Four of these representatives include Greene (R-Ga.), Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), Warren Davidson (R-Ohio), and Barry Moore (R-Ohio). (Alabama) included.

On the other hand, 163 Democratic members voted in favor and 32 voted against.

Before the vote, Greene was booed from both sides of the aisle when she first made a motion to resign.

“This is the United Party for the American people to see!” Greene insisted, pointing to those who booed her remarks.

He went on to say that Mr Johnson “has not delivered on anything” he promised after being elected to a high-power position and should be removed.

“By passing the Democratic agenda and handcuffing Republican power and influence legislation, our elected Republican Chairman Mike Johnson is aiding and abetting the destruction of our country by the Democratic Party and the Biden administration. “I did,” Green continued.
