Houston High School Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Recruiting Students Into Prostitution

A Houston high school teacher was arrested Monday on suspicion of soliciting a student into prostitution, Fox Houston reported.

Kedria Grigsby, 42, was arrested and charged with three counts of child trafficking and three counts of forced prostitution of a juvenile. Grigsby was a teacher at Klein Cain High School and is accused of soliciting her students into prostitution. Her bail was set at $750,000, and conditions of her release strictly prohibit her from contacting the three people who filed her charges against her and prohibit her from having any unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18. is required to be avoided. according to To Fox Houston.

Grigsby is said to have committed the crime with his son, Roger McGee, 22, and authorities are investigating whether Grigsby may have aided his son in committing the crime. The victims were identified as being between the ages of 15 and 17 and students at the school where Grigsby worked, Fox Houston reported. As the investigation continues, more students are coming forward saying the teacher also tried to recruit them into prostitution. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office Human Trafficking Unit is leading the investigation into these charges. According to Fox Houston, McGee was arrested in November 2022 and remains in custody pending legal proceedings. In response to these accusations, Klein Independent School District released a statement to Klein-Kine High School families.

“We are writing to let you know about a situation that we were just notified by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and took immediate action. Law enforcement has confirmed that hairstylist Kedria Grigsby was arrested for sex trafficking and forced prostitution. “We have notified him that he has been taken into custody on a felony charge,” the school district said in a statement, Fox Houston reported. As soon as we were made aware of this information, the school district took immediate action, arrested Mr. Grigsby and immediately placed him on administrative leave. Klein ISD has no intention of returning this individual to Klein Cain or Klein ISD schools and will report this individual to all appropriate authorities once the investigation is complete. ”
