Houston Texans player shot, injured in Florida club mass shooting

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was among 10 people shot and injured at a nightclub in Sanford, Florida, on Sunday night. the team announced.

The Texans said Dell was released from the hospital late Sunday without serious injuries. No one was killed in the shooting, the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said, adding that all 10 injured had non-life-threatening injuries.

The sheriff’s office announced that a 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the shooting and charged with attempted murder.

Police say an argument escalated into a shootout at the Cabana Live Club in Sanford just after midnight Sunday. Police further added that the gunman was apprehended by venue security.

Dell, who broke out as a rookie in the Texans offense last season, is “in good spirits” following the shooting, the team said in a statement.
