The Houthi missile landed in Israel close to Tel Aviv’s main airport on Sunday, prompting several international airlines to cancel flights to the country.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged to retaliate for these attacks and plans to engage in multiple defense meetings throughout the day. Reports suggest that Israeli media have not highlighted the country’s or the US’s missile defense capabilities.
“We will strike back sevenfold against anyone who harms us,” stated Defense Minister Israel Katz.
While Lufthansa, Switzerland, and Air Europe aim to resume flights on Monday, they were among the airlines that had to cancel services to Israel.

No injuries have been reported from the missile strike, and Israel hasn’t confirmed any specific military response yet.
Over the weekend, the Israeli Air Force declared that it targeted over 100 locations deemed terrorist strongholds in the Gaza Strip, which included attacking cells, tunnels, and other military sites.

A major blaze ignited near Jerusalem on Wednesday, leading to road closures and mandatory evacuations that paralyzed daily life. Traditionally, Israel marks independence with a torchlighting ceremony, but this year they opted to air a rehearsal video instead.
Fire Near Jerusalem Could be the Largest in History
Jerusalem District Fire Station Commander Schmrik Friedman warned on Wednesday that the wildfire could be “the largest fire in the country” and cautioned that strong winds might worsen conditions. He also mentioned that the situation remains “far from controlled.”
