How Much Effort Would You Put into Promoting Your Meme Coin?

How Much Effort Would You Put into Promoting Your Meme Coin?

Simply put

  • Meme Coin creator is attempting to travel solo across all 50 US states in record time.
  • He is live streaming the entire journey through Token Launchpad Pump.fun.
  • The associated 50States tokens are currently seeing a significant drop from their peak prices.

Live streaming efforts by Solanameme Coin developers have at times involved breaking speed limits and working around the clock in bad weather.

Leland King Fawsett started his journey from White River Junction, Vermont, in a Hyundai Kona on June 11th. He aims to break the record in Honolulu by 7:33 PM on June 19th.

As of now, Fawcette reported that he has completed 47 of the 50 states in approximately seven days and seems on track to set a new record, though he acknowledged there’s still a lot of ground to cover.

“The challenge is that these are large western states. It can take hours to walk through them without seeing much,” he said. “Some of them are bigger than many countries. Navigating through them is really tough.”

The All 50 State Clubs was established in 1998. Barry Stiffel currently holds the record for completing the journey in 8 days and 7 hours.

Fawcette introduced the Solana Meme Coin 50States on June 11th, the first day of his endeavor, with the goal of breaking Stiffel’s record. He set up a camera in his vehicle and began live streaming his travels via Pump.Fun.

This streaming event is just one of many hosted on Pump.fun, a platform that has become popular among Meme Coin creators, previously reliant on third-party sites.

Fawcette believes his strategy prioritizes efficient satellite navigation and route planning.

“I just wanted to see if it’s actually possible, considering it seems unbelievable that anyone could cover all of America in just over eight days,” he remarked, implying that if modern technology can’t improve upon the record, it raises questions about its validity.

Previously, three men completed the challenge in May 2022 in five days and 13 hours, with rotating drivers during eight-hour shifts.

The 50STATES token peaked at about a $1 million market cap but has now dropped to roughly $180,000. Some community members are skeptical while others remain hopeful about its recovery.

One viewer commented, “I think he’s really committed to breaking the record, though the community has its doubts.” But many, including Leonardo Sun, express confidence he will succeed.

As of now, market predictions hold that Fawcette has a nearly 61% chance of setting a new solo record.

How did you get here?

Live streaming events centered around Memecoins have been around for over a year.

In May 2024, a child and his apparent mother encouraged viewers to invest in meme coins during a livestream, promising outrageous stunts if milestones were met. The event went viral.

Following that, Fawcette launched various other live streaming tokens, although some quickly plummeted in value. He faced criticism over failed projects that didn’t meet expectations. To address this, he took a contrarian approach, publicly criticizing his own projects shortly after launch while advising viewers against purchasing them.

Other developers have also embraced Pump.Fun to promote coins associated with livestream stunts, as this feature has fostered a new wave of high-profile streams.
