Today, Bill O'Brien's club hopes to avenge that loss with backup quarterback Grayson James (starter Thomas Castellanos entered the transfer portal in November) and running back Kai Robichaud. are. In the final game of the regular season, James threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-23 victory over Pitt.
Meanwhile, the Cornhuskers will be making their first bowl game appearance since losing to Tennessee in the 2016 Music City Bowl. To add insult to injury, coach Matt Rhule's team withdrew from its final game of the season against Iowa. There were some silver linings to the heartbreaking 13-10 loss, when the Reds led 10-0 at the half. Quarterback Dylan Raiola completed 22 of 32 passes for 190 yards.
