The New York Jets head into Week 8 still seeking their first win, but after a week filled with uncertainty, they’ve officially announced their starting quarterback for today’s game in Cincinnati.
Last week, head coach Aaron Glenn made a mid-game switch, pulling Justin Fields in favor of backup Tyrod Taylor during the second half of a 13-6 defeat against Carolina. There was a lot of speculation leading up to this week about who would start, but Taylor dealing with a knee bruise pushed the decision back to Fields.
The Bengals, meanwhile, sit at 3-4 but managed to break a four-game losing streak with a win on Thursday Night Football last week. They now have Joe Flacco under center, and interestingly, Aaron Rodgers faced the Steelers in Week 7, marking a rare game where both starting quarterbacks were over 40. The Bengals edged out a victory, finishing 33-31.
