Both the men’s and women’s teams reached the podium in the team final (bronze and gold, respectively); Steven Nedorosik, the “pommel horse man,” won bronze in the individual event final; Simone Biles won gold in the individual all-around final, becoming the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history; and Sunisa Li made a historic comeback by winning bronze in both the individual all-around and uneven bars finals.
