The F1 Chinese Grand Prix kicks off the 19th round of the season.
On Saturday, Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes excelled in qualifying, making history as the youngest pole sitter in F1 at just 19 years and 202 days. This achievement surpassed the previous record held by Sebastian Vettel, who was 21 years and 73 days old when he set it in September 2008 at Monza.
The dominance of Mercedes was evident throughout the weekend. George Russell, who won the first race last week, led in Friday’s free practice and secured pole for the sprint race on Saturday, marking his first win of the season.
The Chinese Grand Prix is a 190-mile event comprising 56 laps on a 5.3-mile circuit featuring 16 turns.
