After pulling off a surprising win against the Florida Gators last week, the University of South Florida (USF) jumped to the 18th spot and has now made its way into the top 25 rankings.
USF became the only team in the country to face AP-ranked opponents in the first two weeks of the season, managing to win both games. They achieved a comfortable 34-7 victory over Boise State and then squeaked by the Gators with an 18-16 win.
Similarly, Miami has also started strong, claiming victories in their first two games. They first defeated No. 6 Notre Dame and then scored a resounding 45-3 win against Bethune-Cookman.
