Tom Thibodeau was joking about spending downtime at Club Tarrytown. He insisted he would be on vacation again at the Knicks training facility during the All-Star break.
“It was perfect. Club Tarrytown, 72, and Sunny every day,” Thibodeau cracked after practice Wednesday.
Karl Anthony Towns, the All-Star Center, who previously played in Thibodeaux, Minnesota, called the coach's holiday spot the “24-7, all-inclusive” locale.
He also reiterated that he believes Thibodeau enjoys more this season than early in his coaching career.
“Hell,” Towns said when asked if Thibodeau was like that with the Timberwolves. “Time has treated us all differently. For Tib, I feel like he's just at a point where he's having fun. He really enjoys this.
“I know that from being a player and friend of him. I enjoy the process of becoming a coach. I think that's a testament to his development and time. And with the players in this locker room. It's proof of the coaching staff he has around him.

Jalen Branson, who has known Thibodeau since childhood, said of Club Tarrytown: This guy has a very beautiful home office. Stay there. And whatever I said to you, I told him to his face. ”
Josh Hart (knee) and Mitchell Robinson (ankle) will sit in Thursday's game against the Bulls. OG Anunoby (Foot) is listed as suspicious. Patrick Williams (Quad) is heading out for Chicago.
Thibodeau said Miles McBride was actually “full go” after leaving the rib-contempt with the Hawks last Wednesday.
He was not mentioned in the injury report.
