Hulk Hogan calls Trump ‘a real American hero’ at RNC

Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan appeared as a guest speaker at the 2024 Republican National Convention and expressed his admiration for former President Donald Trump.

“Well, brother, I’ll tell you, you know. When I came in here tonight, there was so much energy in this room. I felt like I was in Madison Square Garden getting ready to win another world title. … The atmosphere was intense. The energy was insane. I felt like I was pushing that useless sticky thing around. [Andre the] “Launch that giant over his head and slam him to the mat, brother,” Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, said in a speech Thursday night.

“But what I realized is, I was in a room full of real Americans, my brothers. And at the end of the day, because our leader, my hero, that fighter, is there, we can bring America back together, one real American at a time,” he added.

according to The Christian StandtHogan also called Trump and his running mate, Ohio Republican Sen. J.D. Vance, “the greatest tag team of my lifetime” and that they would “build this country back together for all true Americans.”

“You are real Americans, but you better be prepared. If Donald J. Trump becomes the President of the United States, all real Americans will be nicknamed Trumpists because the Trumpists will be rampaging for four years. So with the power of Donald J. Trump and the power of the rampaging Trumpists, America will get back on track and as Donald J. Trump said, America will be great again.”

Hogan, who rose to fame as a wrestler in the 1980s and 1990s, also addressed the assassination attempt on President Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last Sunday.

“I think about how Donald Trump and his family have been put at risk. I look over there and there’s Donald Trump. I think about how his business has been put at risk. But what happened last week when they attacked my hero and tried to kill the next president of the United States? Enough is enough. Let the Trump freaks run wild, brother,” Hogan said, ripping his shirt open and drawing cheers from the crowd.

“As a celebrity, I have tried to stay out of politics, but after what has happened in this country over the last four years and what happened this past weekend, I can no longer remain silent,” he continued.

“I’m here tonight because I want the world to know that Donald Trump is a true American hero, and I’m proud to endorse my hero as the next president of the United States.”

Hogan, who has known Trump for more than 30 years, recalled a “flashback.”

“This is so amazing. The last time I stepped on stage, Donald Trump was sitting ringside at Trump Plaza, I was bleeding like a pig, and I won the world title in front of Donald J. Trump. And he’s going to win it in November, and when he wins we’ll all be champions again,” Hogan said.

“I’ve known this man for over 35 years and he has always been, and still is, the biggest patriot. He has always said exactly what he thinks, and he still does. And no matter the odds, he always finds a way to win. With him back in the White House, America will start winning again.”

Hogan praised Trump for persevering against all the opposition thrown his way in the political arena.

“They’ve done everything they can to Donald Trump — every investigation, every impeachment, every lawsuit — and yet he continues to stand up and defeat them,” Hogan said.

“You know, there have never been better times than the Trump administration. Our economy was thriving, our borders were strong, our cities were safe, and there was peace and respect around the world. But in an instant, all that is gone. Crime is out of control. The border is out of control. The prices of food, gas, and housing are out of control. And the only person who can clean this up is Donald Trump.”

“Guys, I love this country so much, and I’ve lived the American Dream, and I want my kids, your kids, and all the little Hulk-maniacs out there to live the American Dream too.”

“Folks, this November we can protect the American Dream for all of us. Donald Trump is the President who gets the job done. All of you criminals, vile people, scumbags, drug dealers, and corrupt politicians need to answer one question: What will you do if Donald Trump and the Trump fanatics come after you?”

At one point, Hogan ditched his T-shirt to reveal a “Make America Great Again” T-shirt to the cheering crowd.

Last December, Hogan and his wife, Skye Daly Hogan, Baptized at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Florida.

“The day I completely surrendered and committed myself to Jesus was the best day of my life,” Hogan wrote on social media at the time.

In April 2023 TweetHe also said he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior when he was a teenager.
