Hulk Hogan endorses Trump for president at RNC: ‘Let Trump-a-mania make America great again’

Professional wrestling legend Hulk Hogan and his 24-inch python were greeted with rapturous applause at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Thursday.

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, was one of the first speakers of the night as the audience patiently waited for former President Donald Trump to take the stage and accept his third consecutive presidential nomination.

The six-time WWE Champion also brought a little bit of Hulkamania with him.

Hogan said he was upset that they “attacked my hero.” He then removed his vest and ripped off the Hogan “Real American” shirt he was wearing, revealing his Trump Vance 2024 shirt, in typical pro wrestling style.

“Enough is enough, that’s why I said: Let the Trump maniacs run wild, brother. Let the Trump maniacs rule again. Let the Trump maniacs make America great again,” he yelled while flexing the python.

Hogan described Trump and Vance as a great tag team, similar to the late wrestler Randy Savage.

“I’ve seen some great tag teams before – Hulk Hogan and, oh yeah, ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage – but you know what? I see the greatest tag team of my lifetime standing before us, ready to rebuild this country for all true Americans,” Hogan added.

Hogan predicted that President Trump and so-called “Trump supporters” will support him for the next four years and “get America back on track.”

“America will be great again.”

Hogan told TMZ in 2015 that he wanted to be Trump’s running mate. Trump ultimately chose Mike Pence, and the two defeated Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine. Trump and Pence lost to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020. This time, Trump has chosen Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance as his running mate.

He said Thursday he was “proud” to endorse his hero as the next president.

He ended his speech with a question for America’s criminals and “corrupt” politicians.

“What are you going to do when Donald Trump and the Trump fanatics start rampaging through you, brother?”

Hogan, like Trump, is a WWE Hall of Famer. The 70-year-old Hogan had a wrestling career spanning more than 50 years, making his name with the organizations then known as the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling, and also appeared in TNA Wrestling.

In addition to his wrestling appearances, Hogan has appeared in numerous films and television shows, including Rocky III, Thunder in Paradise and Mr. Nanny, and was the subject of the reality show Hogan Knows Best.

The Georgia native has also been embroiled in controversy, including a sex tape lawsuit that cost Gawker millions of dollars and a racist remark that saw him removed from the WWE Hall of Fame for several years. Hogan apologized, was reinstated and received support from other African-American wrestlers when the controversy reached its height.
