He entered a field completely different from the one he was accustomed to.
WWE legend Hulk Hogan made a bold appearance onstage just hours after the Republican National Convention’s final session began and minutes before President Trump was to address the GOP delegates.
“Well, brother, let me tell you something,” Hogan began, quoting his famous wrestling catchphrase.
This is his first time attending a political convention.
Hogan took to the stage waving an American flag while a montage of past WrestleManias played on the Jumbotron.
During his speech, Hogan proudly removed his shirt onstage to reveal his red Trump Vance tank top.
The audience immediately erupted in loud applause.
“I’m not here as Hulk Hogan, I just want to give you a taste,” said Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea.
“I’m here tonight because I want the world to know that Donald Trump is a true hero,” he added.
Hogan walked off stage praising all the “Trump fanatics” in the audience.
“I have the toughest job tonight. I have to follow in Hulk Hogan’s footsteps,” joked Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, named for his late father.
