Hulk Hogan’s Private Funeral Held in Florida
A private funeral service for Hulk Hogan took place on Tuesday evening at Indian Rocks Church in Florida, where many gathered to honor the life of this wrestling legend.
According to the Pinera County Medical Examiner, Hogan passed away at the age of 71 after experiencing a heart attack in his Clearwater home. He had a medical history that included atrial fibrillation, which is known for causing irregular and rapid heart rates.
Hogan, whose birth name was Terry Borea, was baptized at the same church earlier this year and was laid to rest surrounded by family and friends.
Several figures from the wrestling world attended the service, including Paul “Triple H” Levesque and former WWE co-CEO Stephanie McMahon. Celebrities like Kid Rock and Bam Margera were also spotted among the attendees.
Security was tight, with police and church safety personnel present, along with K-9 units. A private event sign was posted at the entrance.
For those unable to attend, there were tributes shared on social media. Notably, President Donald Trump commemorated the event. “They have a ‘Hulxter’s’ funeral today, so I thought everyone would enjoy seeing this picture,” he mentioned alongside an old photo of him arm wrestling with Hogan.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had ordered flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of Hogan, declaring last Friday as “Florida’s Hulk Hogan Day.” In a statement, DeSantis remarked how Hogan was a “true Floridian.”
Hogan’s remains will be cremated.
Sky Daily Hogan, in a heartfelt post online, shared that they were facing health challenges together and felt optimistic about overcoming them. “I was very faithful in his strength,” she wrote, reflecting her belief they had more time together.
Hogan’s magnetic personality captivated fans not only in the wrestling arena but also in the entertainment industry. He was the main event at WrestleMania for the first time in 1985 and played a pivotal role in building the WWE into a massive entertainment powerhouse.
In addition to his wrestling success, he ventured into film and reality TV, featured in various programs, including “Hogan Knows Best.” His daughter, Brooke Borea Olexi, expressed gratitude for knowing the authentic version of him, stating, “It’s not just what the world sees through carefully curated lenses.”
Hogan’s son, Nick, also shared his thoughts on social media following the loss.
