Hulk Hogan Remembered After His Passing at 71

His health took a turn when he was rushed to a hospital in Clearwater, Florida, after suffering a cardiac arrest.

“Rocky III”

Hogan’s acting career began in 1982 in the movie “Rocky III,” where he played Thunderlips, a wrestling champion. In his scenes alongside Sylvester Stallone, Hogan created a memorable presence that Stallone later reminisced about fondly, noting the brilliance and charisma Hogan brought to the character.

“No Holds Barred”

In 1989, he landed his first leading role in “No Holds Barred,” portraying Lip Thomas in an action-packed storyline that showcased his wrestling charisma.

Mr. Nanny

Hogan later embraced a lighter role as Sean Armstrong in the 1993 film “Mr. Nanny,” where a retired wrestler finds himself taking care of mischievous children, leading to humorous situations that highlighted his comedic side.

Cameos as Himself

Besides starring in films, Hogan frequently appeared as himself in several projects. Notably, he made a memorable cameo in “Gremlins 2: The New Batch,” where he humorously interrupted the film to steer it back on track.

One of Hogan’s last major film roles was in 2009’s “Little Hercules,” where he played Zeus in a modern twist on the classic tale, featuring Greek heroes navigating life on Earth.

Hogan also shifted gears into reality TV with “Hogan Knows Best,” which aired from 2005 to 2007 and provided a glimpse into his life with his family, including his children, Brooke and Nick. The show portrayed a different side of Hogan, challenging the stereotype of him just being a wrestler.
