Hulk Hogan’s Potential Role in Hooters’ Future
Hulk Hogan might be playing a key role in the revival of Hooters.
The well-known restaurant chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in March, but they aren’t closing their doors just yet.
In a press release at that time, Hooters shared that they had entered a Restructuring Support Agreement, with full backing from essential stakeholders. Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection allows companies to reorganize their debts while remaining operational.
Now, it appears that Hogan’s Real American Beer could soon place substantial bids to acquire Hooters’ intellectual property, according to someone familiar with the situation.
This bid marks a significant move for Real American Beer as it works to expand its portfolio of legacy brands. The aim is to create a lifestyle platform that’s just as entertaining as some patriotic themes out there.
Should this acquisition go through, it would modernize Hooters with new consumer products, digital content, games, and experiences tailored to today’s audience.
Hooters was initially founded in Hogan’s hometown of Clearwater, Florida, and it quickly became one of the first venues to feature Real American Beer after its debut.
Despite the bankruptcy filing, Hooters continues to serve customers.
“Today’s announcement represents a significant step in strengthening Hooters’ financial standing and our commitment to delivering a warm hospitality experience and delicious meals to both our patrons and the community,” a spokesperson mentioned.
In the past year, the Hogan brand has made strides, setting up shelves in Walmart across eight states shortly after its launch.
This beer has secured the title of WWE’s official drink, with Samuel Adams still reigning as the light beer favorite.
The brand’s name pays tribute to Hogan’s iconic entrance theme, “Real American.”
