Hulk Hogan's troubling last weeks were filled with health struggles: report

Wrestling Legend Hulk Hogan Passes Away at 71

Hulk Hogan, born Terry Jean Borea, died early Thursday morning at the age of 71. Reports suggest he was battling various health issues and was noted to be in a “weak state of mind” as he neared the end.

An insider shared that Hogan was experiencing shortness of breath, extreme fatigue, and weight gain, and he spent his final days at his mansion in Clearwater, Florida.

Despite these challenges, there were moments of joy in Hogan’s last weeks. Sources revealed he aimed to mend relationships with estranged family members, including his daughter Brooke, and felt it was important to express what had been left unsaid.

Just two weeks before his demise, Hogan had a conversation with Brooke, hoping for reconciliation. The exact cause of his death has not been disclosed, but authorities have stated there’s no suspicion of foul play.

Emergency services were alerted to Hogan’s cardiac arrest around 10 a.m., and although he was transported to a local hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after 11 a.m.

Hogan, who had undergone a staggering 25 surgeries, faced health complications linked to his long history of wrestling, including issues related to steroid use and injuries incurred over four decades in the ring.

Earlier speculation regarding his health had circulated, with some claiming he was paralyzed. Notably, Hogan’s friend Todd Clem mentioned that he had heard reports of Hogan’s declining condition on a Florida radio show, stirring concerns among fans.

Reflections on Hogan’s Recent Days

Before his passing, Clem had actually invited Hogan to serve as his best man at an upcoming wedding, indicating he was in contact with him until shortly before his death. Hogan’s representatives refuted claims about his health, insisting he had only recently undergone neck surgery and was recovering well.

In fact, on May 1, Hogan appeared on Fox News, showcasing his recovery. He was even spotted with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis later that month in Clearwater Beach.

Just two days prior to his death, Hogan’s manager and friend Jimmy Hart posted an uplifting update about Hogan’s condition, disputing negative reports circulating in the media. “The Hulk is doing great things!” he enthused, expressing excitement over a recent karaoke night they shared.
