Hunter Biden criticizes Democratic leaders while expressing admiration for Gavin Newsom.

In a recent social media interview, Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, praised California Governor Gavin Newsom as the “greatest warrior” of the Democratic Party.

“I think we have an incredibly strong bench,” Hunter stated, adding that Newsom stands out as “probably the clearest and greatest fighter we have.” He shared his thoughts in a conversation with Luke Ruddell.

He noted that while a leader will emerge, he also mentioned other potential candidates like Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.

However, he emphasized the need for unity, saying, “I’m kind of tired of party labels. I’m disappointed in a lot of the Democratic Party and its congressional leaders,” which reflects a broader frustration.

Hunter Biden went on to express admiration for New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani, saying, “I look at people like Mayor Mamdani and am completely inspired by not only the way he won the election but the way he’s operating now.”

While Beshear, Shapiro, and Newsom are seen as possible Democratic contenders for the 2028 presidential nomination, none have officially declared their candidacy yet.

Meanwhile, former Vice President Kamala Harris, who previously ran to succeed Biden in 2024, has indicated she is considering another run in 2028.

In another notable event, Biden visited his alma mater, Syracuse University, to celebrate the unveiling of a portrait that will permanently hang in the law school’s library.

During the event, he humorously compared the university’s black board of trustees members to former President Barack Obama, eliciting laughter from the audience.

In his chat with Ruddell, Hunter Biden candidly acknowledged being “biased” about his father’s pardon power, expressing gratitude for the pardon he received: “I fully understand how blessed I am to receive a pardon from my father.”

He also mentioned the current political climate, stating, “I don’t think the founders ever imagined Donald Trump. I don’t think they ever imagined the Trump family.” This comment adds a layer of complexity to the conversation about political legacy and familial influence.
