Hunter Biden Drops Lawsuit Against IRS Whistleblowers

Former President Joe Biden (d) son Hunter Biden filed a lawsuit against an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblower on Wednesday.

Whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joe Ziegler alleged that former President Biden's Department of Justice (DOJ) had been covered up to block an investigation into tax fraud against Hunter Biden.

In a statement after the lawsuit was dropped, the two said it was always clear that it was an attempt to blackmail them.

“The threats and retaliation never worked. We really wanted to provide a full story in court, but it appears that Biden was afraid to actually fight this case in court,” they commented. “The voluntary firing of his case tells you everything you need to know who was right and who was wrong.”

In December, an IRS whistleblower criticized former President Joe Biden for forgiveness of Hunter before he took office, following Breitbart's news.

“The amount of lies and spin can't hide the simple truth that the Justice Department has kept the president's son away from hooks due to multiple felonies. We will fulfill our obligations, tell the truth, and follow the law.” statement read:

Those reading the president's excuses should remember that Hunter Biden admitted to a tax crime in federal court, that Hunter Biden's lawyers were aiming to disclose legal whistleblower players, and that we are plastering one of those lawyers with false accusations.

President Biden has the power to put his thumb on a measure of justice in his son, but at least he had to do it explicitly for the whole world to see, rather than his political appointees secretly keeping it behind the scenes. In any case, it is a sad day for laws protecting taxpayers to witness this special privilege on a powerful person.

In June 2023, Shapley said Hunter Biden had raked around $8.3 million from China, Ukraine and Romania. He said it was impossible to recover the taxes owed on $400,000 of his unreported income, according to Breitbart News.
