Hunter Biden Discusses His Father’s Challenges
Hunter Biden recently opened up about the struggles his father, President Joe Biden, faces as he navigates the pressures of the upcoming 2024 debates. He suggested that some of these challenges might be compounded by medications like Ambien, which his father has been using to manage stress and improve sleep quality amid a demanding schedule.
Hunter also expressed his frustrations with former President Barack Obama’s inner circle, implying that they contribute to self-doubt in his father. He described the current political climate as a time when older leaders question their place and impact. It seems like there’s a lot of pressure on his dad, almost like a “test” from party elders regarding his potential reelection bid.
He criticized statements and narratives surrounding his father’s age, calling attention to how they manifest on stage. “He looks like a deer in the headlights,” he reflected, expressing concern that this perception feeds into people’s biases and assumptions about his father’s capabilities.
Despite these doubts, Hunter noted that his father has accomplished significant progressive goals during his time in office. He believes that Joe Biden has pushed forward more of a progressive agenda than many previous leaders, including significant investments in climate change.
In a lighter moment, Hunter joked about his father’s political allies, suggesting that some, like Rahm Emanuel or David Axelrod, might consider running for office in the future. He stood by his father’s popularity among voters, especially in moments when it seemed Joe Biden might struggle.
Hunter also defended his artwork against allegations of using it for illicit gains, asserting that selling his paintings was not an attempt to curry favor or influence. “They blamed me for the crime of painting,” he said, suggesting that such accusations were unfounded.
He further critiqued the ways in which others in politics, including figures like Don Jr., engage in influence and fundraising, underscoring what he sees as a double standard in political scrutiny.
Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for comment regarding Hunter’s remarks about his father’s medication.
