Feds Investigate Hunter Biden’s Alleged Threat to Sex Worker
WASHINGTON — Federal authorities are examining allegations that Hunter Biden threatened a sex worker through a text message. The message reportedly included a menacing claim about knowing her exact location and mentioned that his controversial laptop had recorded their encounter, as detailed in newly released federal documents.
After President Biden’s son acknowledged that his tax filings were under federal scrutiny in December 2020, a Los Angeles-based sex worker contacted the FBI. She reported receiving a text from Hunter that she felt was threatening, according to an FBI affidavit.
In the text, Hunter supposedly stated, “Don’t forget that I know where you are, you have an ankle bracelet and that the laptop was recording.” The affidavit also pointed out that this sex worker indicated she had engaged in sexual activity with Hunter while video chatting with another person.
The sex worker claimed that Hunter was the one who “failed to pay for sex” but then threatened her over an extended period to repay him some of his money.
The timing of the alleged threat remains unclear, but email exchanges among FBI staff in December 2020 referred to the incident, occurring just a month after Biden’s father won the election against Donald Trump.
Years later, Hunter testified in court for unrelated issues that he achieved sobriety from drugs and alcohol in June 2019, shortly after marrying Melissa Cohen.
The affidavit revealed in a different criminal complaint against two former senior FBI officials noted that the financial transaction mentioned had been verified by investigators.
One of these officials, Nikki Floris, is accused of lying to Congress regarding her knowledge of federal investigations into Hunter while she was part of the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF). During a House Judiciary Committee session in 2023, she stated that she hadn’t discussed Hunter Biden with colleagues.
However, emails included in the affidavit show that Floris was aware of the report on the Los Angeles escort. She forwarded information related to it to another FBI employee.
Hunter has disputed the authenticity of the emails and photos linked to his laptop, although FBI agents and prosecutors have testified about the evidence’s reliability in court.
The laptop contains extensive records, including tens of thousands of emails, numerous photos, and videos, some depicting Hunter engaged in various adult activities, for which he reportedly spent over half a million dollars.
Federal prosecutors once considered charging Hunter Biden related to potential Mann Act violations, concerning women traveling across state lines for sex with him. Ultimately, they indicted him in 2023 for tax-related and gun-related felonies instead.
Hunter faced a trial regarding charges connected to possessing a firearm while being addicted to crack cocaine, and in June 2024, a federal grand jury found him guilty.
In September, he pled guilty to federal tax delinquency for failing to pay $1.4 million to the IRS. His father, former President Joe Biden, granted him a pardon in December 2024, just before leaving office.
No response has been received from Hunter Biden’s attorney regarding this matter.
