Hunter Biden Responds to Joe Rogan on UFC Event at White House
Hunter Biden, the son of former President Joe Biden, has pushed back against podcast host Joe Rogan’s criticism of the UFC event held at the White House. Rogan labeled the space as “sacred” while discussing the UFC Freedom 250 show during a recent episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
On the show, Rogan expressed displeasure with the reactions of some attendees, saying, “They seem to be angry that people are there. It’s like, ‘Oh, you support Trump.’ It’s like a bad fight in the White House. I don’t mean support foreign policy. Just stop.”
Dana White Says UFC Event Is Not Political
Biden referred to the UFC event as a “once-in-a-lifetime spectacle,” emphasizing that while he doesn’t blame anyone for attending, he had issues with the event itself and accused President Trump of trying to take over the “people’s house.”
“I believe some parts of public space are sacred,” Biden said. “These American monuments belong to all of us. The White House doesn’t belong to any president; it belongs to the people.” He compared the situation to treating the Colosseum as Caesar did, arguing that the White House should not be utilized for such events, which could have easily taken place in a more appropriate setting.
Hunter Biden Critiques Trump’s Approach
Biden made a clear distinction, noting that he is not criticizing UFC boss Dana White, whom he referred to as a “genuine American success story.” Still, he insisted that the event was more about imposing Trump’s view rather than celebrating the nation.
“The White House is not like Buckingham Palace or Versailles,” he wrote. “It belongs to all of us. The person sitting in the Oval Office is just a guest of honor—a temporary caretaker.” This comment emphasized a belief that the president serves the people, not the other way around.
In response, White House Press Secretary Davis Engle called the event a historic celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, underlining Trump’s vision in hosting it at the White House.
Backlash Over Biden’s Remarks
Biden’s comments sparked backlash, particularly from conservative commentators who recalled controversies from his father’s administration. One critic pointed out past scandals and questioned Hunter’s stance on ethics, while another dismissed his concerns about the event.
As the situation continues to unfold, Fox News Digital reached out to both Rogan and the UFC for comments, but responses were not immediately available.
