Representative Lamonica McIver (D-NJ) stated on CNN’s “Coalition Status” that nobody confronted him during Newark Mayor Ras Baraka’s recent arrest at Delaney Hall Detention Center.
Host Dana Bash mentioned, “We’d like to revisit the footage we were observing. We want our viewers to see you in a red blazer as we present it.”
McIver responded, “That’s perfectly fine. I honestly don’t know how to hit someone physically. There’s no video evidence of any kind of physical assault. We mentioned that Congressman Bonnie Watson Coleman was just there to fulfill her duties. We were there for a visit, and they created that chaos.”
