Jonathan “Sperminator” Rinaldi, a familiar figure in New York City politics and a frequent sperm donor, has found himself in legal trouble for allegedly posting fake endorsements and news articles on his social media platforms.
Recently, he shared a dubious headline on Facebook claiming, “City Councilman Bob Holden crosses the aisle to support city council candidate Rinaldi,” which raised eyebrows.
Additionally, Rinaldi previously featured a fabricated article from the Associated Press, asserting that former Governor Andrew Cuomo had endorsed his candidacy for the city council.
The article misleadingly stated, “Andrew Cuomo officially supported Jonathan Rinaldi’s candidacy for council election.” However, Cuomo’s spokesman, Rich Azopaldi, dismissed Rinaldi, stating, “I don’t even know who that guy is.”
In another instance, he posted misleading claims that Queens Congressman Andrew Hevesi supported him, which led to Hevesi calling Rinaldi “a liar, a loser, a clown.” Hevesi further criticized Rinaldi, saying he lacks integrity and that he should focus on winning voter trust.
Rinaldi’s actions have attracted significant criticism, especially after he reported that his Facebook account had been hacked, following the publication of another fake article claiming his opponent, Lynn Schulman, was under investigation.
The Queens resident is no stranger to unusual political antics; earlier this year, he was disqualified from a city council election after allegedly impersonating a reporter in Holden’s office over the phone.
